"address not found" errors after installing Windows 7
Hi everyone, I loaded Windows 7 RC onto a brand new hard drive. I have windows firewall turned off and am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. I didn't have any problems with this setup in Vista on the same computer (but different hard drive). Now, I get intermittent timeouts ("address not found") errors when using Firefox 3.0.10 and IE8. Most of the time everything works fine, but then I get that "address not found" error. Reload doesn't fix it. I have to close FF or IE and then restart it and then it works fine again for awhile. Any ideas? Thanks!

My settings are setup as whatever is default. I haven't changed anything in the settings since installing.

I would suggest you to check settings for internet explorer and mozilla on kaspersky.

I have the exact same problem. I can even ping my own local gateway and my public IP on the router. But thats how far I'm allowed to go. My broadband distributors Default Gateway IP "at the other end of my routers cable" I cannot. Then after 20-60 secs. I have access again?

I removed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and the page loading problems have gone away. So, there seems to be a problem with Kaspersky and Windows 7.

exact same issue with firefox, 'adderss not found' errors randomly here and there. fails on one click, then reload fixes it. very annoying. not using any antivirus, or firewall, windows firewall turned off. I'm going to start using IE8 to see if it suffers from the same issue. We do not lose connectivity during this, only browsing, almost like a DNS or packet loss issue for a brief second. This is on multiple machines using the RC of win7.
